Year 1 Visit to the Parish Church

On Wednesday 13^th February we went to the Parish Church in Kendal to learn about the church as part of our RE Special Places topic. Ashley told us all about the history of the church, and explained how and when the church was built. We learnt about different objects and parts of the church such as the pulpit, font, aisle and Parr Chapel. We got to try on some special robes and to taste a piece of communion bread. It was a fantastic experience! The children listened really carefully and asked lots of interesting questions.
